"Additional Information"
Amateur slalom first round running order will be determined
by hat draw following registration. Amateur skiers will
be seeded into 3 classes based on their performance in the
first round. Each class will aspire to have an equal number
and will be called Outlaw, Advanced, Intermediate. Speed
will determine class, followed by line length. Ties will
drop to the lower class. In the event that a class contains
skiers with multiple speeds, a faster speed skier will receive
credit for one full pass on top of his/her best pass for
every 2mph increment above the lowest speed skier in his/her
class. For example, if the Outlaw class contains skiers
at 36 and 34, if a 36mph skiers runs 4@32, he/she will receive
credit for running 4@35. Age is irrelevant as to who can
ski what speed, but the skier must select, and run, the
same speed selected at time of registration.
To further illustrate this unique tournament concept, if
30 skiers ski, it is the goal of each class to have 10 skiers,
but if ties occur, some classes may have slightly more or
less. If intra-class boat speeds vary, the skier at a faster
speed will beat a skier at a slower speed if both run the
same line length. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 placements
in each class. Amateurs will ski minimum of two rounds,
a vote will be held by skiers to determine whether to run
a third as conditions may vary.
